Igor Kovač graduated acting from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. As a freelance artist, he performed at a number of Zagreb’s stages, after which he joined the drama ensemble of the Croatian National Theater in Rijeka, in 2011.
In 2015, he became a member of the Gavella Drama Theater ensemble where he often had prominent and main roles within the repertoire. He was noted for his roles in the films “Daddy” directed by Dalibor Matanić and “Kotlovina” by Tomislav Radić in 2011, as well as the series “Sunday Mornings, Saturday Nights” by Predrag Ličina. He was awarded the Golden Arena for Best Actor in Supporting Male Role for Zvonimir Jurić’s film “The Reaper”, and was also named the “Gavella Fair” actor for the 2016/17 season.
