Mentor: Marina Petković Liker
Subject: Reciting any dramatic text takes a profound understanding of the setting that the text considers. Together we work on discovering different dimensions of the dramatic text. Connecting relations between characters on a more complex level and understanding the hidden meanings of the content.
Aim: Achieving an expressive speaking voice through a clear set of thoughts and emotions. If the dramatic text considers poetic language, the expressive voice is sought through artistic content.
Basic tools: Performance analysis of the text offers a profound approach to understanding the text we wish to speak: 1. In-depth analysis of the dramatic text and finding information that contributes to building a role (positioning, methods, qualities…); 2. the process of adopting the newly found information, or process of performance analysis: a) acting performance which responsibly and profoundly permeates the text by organic speech expression and offers the possibility of a signature approach for speech expression, or b) engaging speech performance that holds the attention of the listeners and awakens their understanding.
The workshop is intended for: all who encounter other author’s texts and need to be able to recite them as their own (actors, hosts, spokespeople, etc.)
Time: by appointment. Individual work with a mentor or in groups up to 10 participants.
THE GROUP MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 8 PARTICIPANTS.
