Sanja Vejnović


Sanja Vejnović graduated Croatian studies from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. She took her first steps in acting at the age of 13, when she played one of the main roles in a TV-film called “A Long Journey into the White”. To this day, she has performed in more than forty featured films and series, mostly as the leading actress. Her most popular roles in films such as “Banović Strahinja”, “A Deceiving Summer”, “High Voltage”, “One Hundred Minutes of Fame”, “The Three Men of Melita Žganjer”, “With Mom”, “Twice Born”. Many of her noted roles were in popular Croatian TV series as well, namely “Pride of Ratkay’s”, “Lara’s Choice”, “Whichever Way the Ball Bounces”, “Pure Love”, and in many film co-productions. In theater, she acted in over a dozen different roles. She has won numerous awards for her acting, and is a jury member at several domestic and international film festivals. She has experience as a Casting Director for Croatia in over fifteen foreign films. She is the founder of the first acting agency in Croatia called “Kvadar”, production house “Foss Film”, “Actors Studio” in Zagreb, and Performing Arts Studio “ETRA”. She is the co-founder of StudioChekhov Croatia. From 1989 until today, she has participated in numerous seminars and conferences on the Michael Chekhov Technique. She is a member of the e-Talent Board of Experts European Casting Directors.
